Day 2 (17/09/2019)
We began the day with breakfast provided by Hotel Vista
Kamata staff. When everyone was full we set off to Ryogoku Station from Kamata
Station. From there we had a blast to the past of Tokyo, formally known as Edo
in the 18th century. After the history lesson from the kind volunteers, we had
lunch from the convenient stores nearby.
Lunch was then proceeded by a viewing
of the senior bracket Sumo wrestling at the Kokugikan. There we saw the mighty
Tochinoshin in action as the last match of the day.
The excitement from Tochinoshin lead us to Akihabara, where the students split off into groups and journeyed the bright lights and technology of the town. With the market journey concluding our day with a crowded train ride back to the hotel, readying ourselves for the journey that awaits us tomorrow.
